Wendy, I heard you play at the Highland Games yrs ago. Wonderful treat. Then, by chance I ate with you, your family, and Heavy lifters at a small restaraunt in town where they lifted you on their shoulders. Your family was wonderful to talk with. I am doing a project for the heritage fair. It is due march 31st. I am 9yrs old and a student in grade four. I picked celtic music becuse I love it so much and want to share it with others.. You are my insperation when it comes to the fiddle I practice everyday and still continue to take lessons and go to competitions. I have been playing for 5yrs on the fiddle now and will be going to a mixed fiddle work shop in July where Jerry Holland will be teaching us.

I am going to play a set on the fiddle and sing a celtic song as part of my project. I was wondering if you have any information on the background of celtic music and the fiddle you could send me. If not could you send me something telling me your love for the celtic traditions or why you love the celtic music and the fiddle so much, even your point of view on the celtic roots would be a great asset to my project and myself.
